"Thank you for guiding Harry and me through the last months of his life. We came to you at a critical time in his illness and your knowledge and direction and kind personality calmed him and made his care manageable. I sincerely appreciate your expert care and your genuine concern for me too.
Throughout my life, I've encountered individuals with special gifts that leave a last impression. For me, you will always be one of those angels. "
"Grove Park Hospice was a huge support for us. We are so thankful we called y'all when we did.
And we really enjoyed meeting the Grove Park Chaplain. He has such a big personality and prayed the most special prayer for our family"

There are no words to describe how thankful the family of …”Sonny” S… is for all of the support and love shown to him and us during his recent illness and death. Vickie Osborne, RN went above and beyond the call of duty to provide us with supplies and guidance. Vickie demonstrated professionalism at all times, and her compassion and warmth always brought so much peace to the family and to Sonny. She always returned phone calls and always provided the right answers to so many questions that we had during this very stressful time. Vickie always allowed Sonny to make the decisions regarding his care. She never changed his plan of care without consulting with him to make sure he was in agreement with the new plan.
Karen Youngue, LMSW was the best social worker that our family has ever worked with. She was able to assist Sonny’s sister to understand the responsibility she would have after his death, as the executor of his estate. She also guided Sonny and his sister to accept the realization that a Will was very important and needed to be completed prior to his death; this was a subject no one wanted to discuss. Karen did an excellent job bringing this topic to the forefront so this could be completed while Sonny was of sound mind and body. She also provided the family with so much support that we never felt that we were all alone dealing with the death of a loved one. She walked with us the whole way.
Laveesha was Sonny’s aide. She was phenomenal. Sonny was a very modest person, however, he took immediately to Laveesha. He enjoyed her visits and she maintained her professionalism always but also was very personable to Sonny and he really appreciated that. She was so surprised at his quick decline, but she never showed this while giving Sonny his bath. He was unresponsive but she continued to talk to him while bathing him so he knew, even at the end, how much all of the hospice team loved him.
Once again, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts."
“My dad died on September 14 and I’ve thought about our Hospice experience every day since then – wondering how I’d ever be able to convey my gratitude. We had the best team.
Vickie entered our lives at a very scary, sad time and immediately brought a sense of peace and became a member of our family. She was exactly who we needed! I’m so thankful for her kindness, professionalism, and knowledge. What I’m most thankful for, though, was her compassion and willingness to answer all of my questions and reassure me that I was doing everything right by my sweet dad.
We were equally impressed with Buck and Shonda. They, too, exuded professionalism and kindness. They treated my dad with such respect and made sure that he kept his dignity. They were perfect assets to our team.
I have to acknowledge Karen, who is by far the most thoughtful person I’ve ever met. Her acts of kindness for my mom meant the world to us. She went above and beyond for my mom during the worst time of her life. I can say with certainty that Karen has made me a better person.
We didn’t have many interactions with Claudette and Tammy, but they answered the call at some of our most crucial, desperate times and I’ll never forget their dedication and compassion. Prior to July 2023, I had little knowledge of Hospice.
In just over two months I learned so much – not just about death but about about love. My dad was the best man I’ll ever know. Thanks to Grove Park Hospice, I learned how to care for him during his final transition and it was the greatest honor of my life.”
You are the epitome of the French phrase "maison d'accueil" or temporary refuge; for in a difficult time, you were "our refuge and strength," a very present help (Psalm 46), so we pause to acknowledge you and to express our gratitude.
You provided opportunities for us to create more meaningful memories while saying goodbye. You helped to strengthen our faith and hope for a better life. We know that "goodbye" isn't forever for those who love God, so we embrace our faith and thank you for your professional care and compassionate service. May God's peace and blessings grace each of your lives."
